General Use Computer and Multimedia Labs

Service Description: 

General-use student computing resources designed for individual and group productivity hosted in the Library West Commons and Student Center.

Service Levels: 

Hours of Operation:
Mon-Thu, 24 Hours
Friday, Midnight - 8:00PM
Sat: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Sun, Noon - Midnight

Maintenance:
The following maintenance windows are reserved for installing, repairing and patching various components of this service:

  • Every Tue, Thu and Sat, 5:00AM - 7:00AM EST for software updates
  • During Semester breaks for hardware refreshments and maintenance.
Requirements: 

Access to Library West Commons computing resources requires possession of a valid Buzz Card. 

Users of the Library spaces must have a Buzzcard for access to the spaces, and all users wishing to print must have a Buzzcard with valid free-print allocations or Buzzfunds.

Support staff is on duty at each computing facility for assistance with access to available resources.

Peak Utilization:
Student Center Computer Cluster: Sun–Fri, 10:00AM–7:00PM EST.
Library Commons computing spaces: Sun–Thu, 10:00AM-1:00AM; Fri, 10:00AM–6:00PM and Sat, 12:00PM–8:00PM.

Extremely high usage during the beginning and end of each academic semester.
