Laptop Lending

Service Description: 

Short-term lending of laptops for faculty or staff use, on or off campus.

Service Levels: 

Pick-up / Drop-off Hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00AM-11:00AM and 2:00PM-5:00PM EST
Pick-up / Drop-off Location: Technology Support Center (TSC), Clough Commons, 2nd Floor, Room 215

Request responsiveness: Contact is made within 24 hours after receiving a reservation request.
Request fulfillment: Reservation requests are fulfilled within (3) business days.
 
Please also note the following:

  • Requests are honored based strictly on device availability.
  • For reservations that begin on a weekend, you MUST pick-up your loaner device(s) by 5:00PM on the Friday before your event.

Documentation: 

OIT offers 30 mobile devices for lending consisting of (20) Dell, (2) Apple and (8) Microsoft Surface Pro. The devices are equipped with basic hardware and installed with software such Microsoft Office and configured with Georgia Tech's VPN software, making it ideal for use at an event or as a temporary backup. The devices can be loaned for traveling domestically or internationally, attending a conference or while waiting (on short term) for a new laptop order.
