About the Summit

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, Georgia Tech is exploring new ways to strengthen AI maturity across the Institute and equip our community with the knowledge, skills, and resources to navigate what comes next.

This fall, faculty, staff, and students are invited to come together for the Fall FORGE AI Summit, Nov. 16–18, to learn, collaborate, and explore how AI and data can be used responsibly and effectively across academic, research, and administrative spaces.

What to Expect: Three Days of Learning, Exploration and Innovation

This fall’s FORGE AI Summit will offer three days of learning and exploration designed to build understanding, showcase what’s possible, and create opportunities to put new ideas into action. The experience will also incorporate elements of Data Days, bringing data literacy more intentionally into FORGE and exploring how strong data foundations serve as an important building block for the effective use of AI.

Day One will focus on the fundamentals that shape how we approach AI at Georgia Tech — from the policies and governance that guide how we leverage AI to the standards and practices helping ensure its responsible use across the Institute. This virtual day will provide a shared foundation for the exploration and activities that follow.

Day Two shifts the focus to exploration. Through a series of showcases and presentations, participants will have opportunities to see how AI is being explored and applied across Georgia Tech, hear from others across the community, and discover ideas and approaches that can inform their own work.

Day Three puts learning into action through the FORGE Challenge, where faculty and staff teams will develop and present AI-enabled solutions designed to address real Georgia Tech needs.

Days Two and Three will be offered in a hybrid format, with in-person participation limited to 200 attendees and additional participants able to join virtually.

Pre-Summit Education

The FORGE experience begins well before Nov. 16. From Oct. 19 through Nov. 13, the Georgia Tech community can participate in pre-summit education across three learning tracks: Data Literacy, AI Literacy, and AI Developer/Challenge Bootcamp.

These learning opportunities will provide multiple ways to prepare for FORGE, from strengthening foundational knowledge in data and AI to building the technical skills needed to develop AI-enabled solutions.

A full schedule of learning opportunities are coming soon!
