Internship with Lockheed Martin as a Cybersecurity Engineer
Eric Zheng works as a student analyst with OIT's Security Operations Center (SOC), where he has gained foundational experience in phishing response, malware analysis, and impersonation threats. In summer 2025, Zheng is completing an internship as a cybersecurity engineer with Lockheed Martin.
"Working with OIT exposed me to the expansive cybersecurity landscape," Eric said. "I will be using gainful knowledge I learned from the Cyber Security staff and mentors during this internship."
Tracy Guo

Internship at CrowdStrike as a Falcon Complete Analyst
Tracy joined the SOC team in Summer 2024 as a student analyst. She mitigated phishing campaigns, assisted and informed users of proper cybersecurity hygiene, and helped new student analysts understand the nuances of working and being part of the SOC team.
Tracy is working at CrowdStrike as a Falcon complete analyst intern where she will learn how the Falcon cybersecurity-prevention platform works and shadow full‑time analysts to help investigate alerts and solve customer security issues.
Jason Lin

Internship with Nike as a Digital Product Designer
Jason Lin worked as a student analyst for OIT Digital Business where he had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing a student meal plan app to leading a full redesign of the Campus Recreation Center's website. "These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my design thinking, collaboration skills, and understanding of large-scale systems," said Jason.
His manager David Lacy, service delivery manager, also played a huge role in his growth. "David was consistently kind and intentional in guiding my growth, always providing clear project roadmaps and thoughtful mentorship. I’m incredibly thankful to have had such a supportive environment to grow in both personally and professionally."
Hoangyen Nguyen

Web Development Student Analyst, Digital Business
Internship with Walmart Global Tech as a Software Engineering Analyst
Hoangyen Nguyen first worked for OIT's Campus Services team, then transitioned to a role with Digital Solutions as a web developer. Over the past year-and-a-half, Hoangyen has made meaningful contributions to a range of projects, from small tickets to developing the CRC website, all while growing her technical and soft skills.
"I first joined OIT through Campus Services where I developed strong, client-facing IT support skills," said Hoangyen. "That foundation transitioned naturally to my current role, allowing me to contribute more confidently to web development projects alongside a talented team of student collaborators."
Hoangyen would like to recognize her manager and mentor David Lacy whose guidance has shaped her journey as a developer and beyond. "I'm truly grateful for a work environment that fosters both personal and professional growth."
Jamie Kim

Jamie Kim joined the OIT Student Internship Program where she worked with the Web Development team. During her time there, Jamie made valuable contributions to several projects, particularly in managing and migrating WordPress sites which included the Georgia Tech Academic Advisors Network. Her dedication, attention to detail, and technical expertise have been deeply appreciated by the team.
Riya Patel

Riya Patel was a key member of the OIT Web Hosting team. Known for her exceptional technical and communication skills, Riya played a vital role in managing the team’s ticket queue and ensuring smooth, customer-focused operations. She took the initiative in tackling complex application hosting issues, demonstrating both independence and deep problem-solving ability.
“Riya was an amazing help wrangling our ticket queue and keeping our processes running smoothly,” said the Web Hosting team. “She’s outstanding, and we’re thrilled to see her moving on to a full-time role with Manhattan Associates.”
Summer Sneed

Computer Science Major
Technical Support Lead, Community Technical Services
Software Engineering Analyst, Wells Fargo Bank
Summer Sneed worked for OIT's Community Technical Services team, serving as a student technical support lead at the Print Studio. There, she led a team of over 20 student assistants, overseeing day-to-day operations in a high-demand environment that operates 12 hours each day, seven days per week. She played a pivotal role in enhancing the studio’s efficiency, including redesigning the layout in collaboration with library staff to improve queue management and workflow.
Summer also provided critical support for technical challenges, including troubleshooting the Pharos printing systems. Her leadership, drive, and technical growth made her a standout contributor to the team.
